About the event
It is a common notion that the Court Cards in Tarot can be the hardest part of a Tarot deck to grasp, and they can throw many tarot readers for a loop. Why do they exist, and what do they contribute to the deck as a whole? Simply put, Court Cards can be thought of as representing either specific people, specific personality traits, or specific approaches to life and just like people, each Court Card has its own quirks and characteristics.
In this class we will explore ways to approach the meanings and archetypes of this family of cards to improve your understanding of them and how they impact our readings.
We will be using and studying the Rider-Waite-Smith (RWS) Tarot deck. It is recommended that each student bring their own Rider-Waite-Smith Tarot Deck (or one based on the RWS system).
This is a hands-on class, and we will have Tarot reading practice time reading for each other – SO BE SURE TO BRING YOUR TAROT DECK! Hand-outs will be provided. Please bring a notebook and a pen or pencil to take notes.
This class is in-person at Mama Santee’s House. Space is limited to 12 students.
